International Memorandums Signed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June 2006, Professor G. Gavardashvili was invited to Hessen University in Germany for two months to deliver lectures. During this time, the first international contract was signed between the International Center for Environmental Protection at Hessen University and the institute. Two months later, in a reciprocal visit, the director of this center, Professor Lorenz King, along with Dr. Eliso Narimanidze and Michael Schaefer (a master’s student jointly supervised by Lorenz King and Givi Gavardashvili), visited the institute from Germany. As part of this agreement, a grant project titled “To Protect St. George’s Church in Mleta from Mudflows”<\/em> was developed and submitted in Germany for funding (see photos 1, 2, 3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
