Harnessing Algae Power for Pollution Reduction and Blue Growth
The project addresses environmental challenges and promotes sustainable economic development in the region. It aims to establish the Black Sea Algae Knowledge Hub, a centralized platform for sharing research, innovation, and best practices related to algae. Key activities include developing an AI-powered algae monitoring tool called AlgaeSense, and pilot actions to identify and cultivate algae species with industrial potential for pollution reduction and industrial uptake.

15/03/2024 – Open Competition for the Position of Head of a Scientific Structural Unit The Scientific Council of the Tsotne Mirtskhulava Institute of Water Management at the Georgian Technical University announces an open competition for the position of Head of a Scientific Structural Unit: Head of the Department of Natural Hazards and Environmental Protection (Chief Scientific Officer) – 1 staff position. Applications will be accepted from March 11 to March 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the following address: 60B I. Chavchavadze Avenue, Tbilisi, 2nd floor, Room No. 232, Tsotne Mirtskhulava Institute of Water Management. Contact person: Marine Mgebrishvili, Tel: 579 08 95 79. The interview and voting for the selection of candidates for the vacant position of Head of the Scientific Structural Unit will be conducted by the Scientific Council of the Institute on March 15, 2024. II. Competition Conditions Main Conditions of the Competition: A person eligible for the position of Head of the Scientific Structural Unit must meet the requirements established for the Chief Scientific Officer or Senior Scientific Officer of this independent scientific research unit. If a candidate does not currently hold the position of Chief or Senior Scientific Officer, upon selection as the Head of the Scientific Structural Unit, they will also be considered appointed to the corresponding scientific position. |
